3. Kyozuan 京豆庵
Established for their tofu ice cream made from 100% japanese soy bean, Kyozuan is situated beside Kotoimo Honpo and at the corner of the food stall cluster at the entrance of the Bamboo Grove. The soft serves are also known for its ability to defy gravity when flipped upside down. Exclusive to the Arashiyama outlet, the black sesame tofu ice cream is a popular favourite.

4. Bread, Espresso and Arashiyama Garden パンとエスプレッソと嵐山庭園
The Arashiyama outlet is one of their biggest, consisting of two buildings - a bakery and a dine-in cafe. Overlooking a luscious private garden, this traditionally-designed cafe is furnished with tatami floors and zaisu chairs. Bread, Espresso offers a variety of japanese bread and sweets, from fruit sandwiches and panini to tiramisu and puddings.

Originated from Kyoto, you can get your coffee fix from the most scenic % Arabica Coffee outlet in the world. Overlooking the Katsura River, you can also walk along the 400-year old Togetsu-kyo Bridge, which is another popular tourist spot in Kyoto.

6. Kichi Kichi Omurice (Bonus!)
You might recognise the chef in action from his viral TikTok videos. Chef Kichi was extremely energetic throughout the entire meal - you can look forward to an unforgettable experience here. Kichi Kichi's famous omurice is originally added with beef demiglaze, but they do have a non-beef option. Besides the omurice, they also have other dishes such as the beef stew or the casserole chicken leg with cream sauce.
While the restaurant isn't near Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, it's easily accessible by the local train. Reservations are highly recommended, and fastest fingers first as the restaurant only has 8 counter seats for dining for each time slot. Reservations are open up to 4 weeks in advance!
